Dried Mango

I think I am officially addicted to dried mango. I eat about a bag every two days. This sucks, because not only can mango make you itchy, but it's expensive! I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH! It tastes like candy! I even try to convert everyone to like it. If your ever over, and I'm eating dried mango, you better believe your going to try it. It's like I'm starting a dried mango cult... but not really. Doesn't the picture below just say, "EAT DRIED MANGO, I LOVE IT, YOU WILL TOO!" In a kind of creepy way though....
So you can tell my life is getting pretty boring when I blog everyday. You can tell it's semi-exceptionally boring when I blog about dried mango. Really though i've only been bored right now! I've had a fun week! I've worked out everyday (except Monday)! And I've let my room become a mess and I'm building the Tower or Pisa out of cereal boxes! See, I am just so busy and not bored (this is a lie). Well I've got to go do something... where I will be very busy, but until then.... yeah, until then.

Motorcycles and Moments

I really like alliteration.

Travis and I... we're ccrrrazy!^
Like I've said in earlier post, this semester has been WAY too much fun. I haven't done a whole ton of school work, mostly just art projects, writing the occasional English paper, studying for art history or... yeah that's about it. I'm also only taking 14 credits though. So I have a pretty easy course load. ANYWAYS that is not what I wanted to talk about... but I guess you'll know anyways.
I wanted to say I LOVE MY ROOMMATES! Sharlene is sooo funny! Sunday night she thought it'd be a splendid idea to try and stand horizontally with crutches and put her feet on the wall, during this fiasco Travis came over... with his motorcycles helmet, thank heavens. Then he wanted to walk on the crutches! He was unusually good at it. Pretty sure he used to be in the circus.

^ His motorcycle
THEN! this is the best part! I GOT TO RIDE HIS MOTORCYCLE!!!! It was SO SWEET!!!! I LOVED IT!!!! I want a motorcycle now though. I did get a little afraid everytime we went around corners and the bike tipped.

^ the letters the Sig's gave us
The Sigma Chi's are such sweethearts. Love them too death, they gave us HUGE LETTERS! They are SO presh, Kelly and I just had to take pictures. I know I look fat, but it's because my coat is way too big for me!
And in other news we did this crazy yoga thing on Tuesday that was supposed to help relive stress, but it made me frustrated. I'm so sore from kickboxing, but it feels good. I had this awful dream with mischa barton in it. Travis has strep throat :( and therefore can not sleep with me... for awhile, but I did bring him popsicles. Life is good :)

I LOVE LENT!

Kaily and I at Red Dress!

I'm not catholic. BUT I LOVE LENT! it seems there's always something I need to give up around Lent anyways. SO since i've been sucking at eating healthy I'm going to give up candy and cookies and cake. the three C's. the Devil C's. I hate them, not really, I love them, BUT I HATE FAT.
In other news, today is free Pancake Day at Ihop! It's strange to think about where I was a year ago on free pancake day. I went with sharlene and adriana. this year I went with Kristy, Kim, Ashley and Hailey. It's just so strange!
Today has been beautiful! Like 63 degrees beautiful! I've been wandering all day around campus mumbling things like "it's so nice outside I just want to live out here!" and "I just do not want to go inside!" but somehow I've still spent most of my day inside... BUT my window is wide open. That's also because I have lost my third pair of keys and have to climb in the window to get inside.
I've started collecting cereal boxes. I'm going to use them in my next art project but I'm not sure how. However I use it though will be awesome. If you have any ideas let me know.
This past weekend we had Red Dress Gala for Alpha Phi. It was wonderful and beautiful and potentially the best part of philanthropy week. Everyone looked gorgeous or in brandon's (kaily's now ex boyfriend) words "smokin hot". I love all my Phi's!
P.S. Kaily let me steal some of her cd's and they're SO funny. There's an 80's and 90's mix. love it. love her. love life!

Byhean

John and I... He's being the typical loveable goober he is.
You know when you leave a comment on someone's blog and you have to type in a word so you know that you're not spamming or something? Well tonight that word was byhean and I really think that this could be a real word and if it's not, I'm going to make it a real word. Byhean means by the here and near... I'm not sure what that means but I will use in context somewhere in this blog...
So I've been sleeping with this boy. Not like that. But we take naps together and cuddle and fall asleep. It's pretty nice, but I've recently realized that it's kind of a waste of time. As nice as it is to cuddle up on your bed with someone and fall asleep in there arms, unless I'm for realz going to bed, there are a million other things I should be doing! It is pretty funny though, when you wake up and someone has their arm around you and you mumble in your sleep about how important it is that you get up and brush your teeth and refuse to go back to sleep until you do so.
In other news my new printer that I received on Monday has quickly become an extension of the table that it is on. I really need to buy that cable for it... Also I'm wearing extremely short shorts right now (to sleep in). I've realized how much I generally dislike clothes at the moment and byhean have chosen to wear a minimal amount.
Tonight I talked to my BFF in the whole world Hannah. I love her so much, and I love her for putting up with my stupid questions, and stupid not so major problems and my overall occasional lack of common sense. I miss her to pieces and I'm going to be sad if I don't go home for summer and she can't come visit me. She is the butter to my non-lesbian bread.
it's 8:50 pm and I'm exhausted. Peace out.

Czechoslovakia has such an interesting history!

I always add a picture! Here's one from Philanthropy Week, I'm on the far left! Sorry I have no eyes...
Can I just say how dumb i am?! Seriously! Tonight I was reading my homework for my English Class: Writing About Art and it referenced the Czech revolution, of which I knew nothing about, so I looked it up on wikipedia. Come to find out when I was like two years old all these revolutionary things and revolutionary people were producing, changing and totally re working their whole form of government and society and I HAD NO IDEA! I was left with even more questions than when I began.
I feel so inspired to just learn everything! Well not everything, mostly just stuff pertaining to art and history. Math and Science still don't interest me all that much, there is nothing subjective about them and sometimes that's nice but overall it's just boring (this is an opinion only).
Sometimes when I walk around on campus I think of all the people just on my campus that are learning things! And then I think about all the people in the US that are learning things and about all the people in the WORLD that are just learning THINGS! I feel like if we're all learning all these different things why can't we just stop talking about things and start doing them! For example why can't we get some scientists, mathematicians, artists, workers and theorists together and solve world hunger already! If we have all these brilliant people in the world, with all these talents why are there so many problems?
I know this probably sounds dumb and crazy... but I was just thinking about it so I thought I'd blog about it.
In an update of my life... I have had such a FUN weekend with sharlene and my roommate kassidy! Shar and I streched together and just followed each other around all Sunday morning and I know that sounds weird and boring but it was SO FUN/funny. Alicia is home though and I'm happy again, I've missed her and her wisdom! I can't wait for Kaily to come home I miss her to pieces! I got my printer but I need a cable for it and I've hung out a lot with Travis too... we made pudding on Valentines day. Ummm other than that not much else new. I have been SO grateful for this three day weekend and wish we had one every weekend, but whateve's S'all good. peace out blog love you much.

Make Your Dreams Come True

^ MY AMAZING ALPHA PHI FAMILY AOE
oh blog blog! i love youuu!
So on this eve of Valentines Day (technically Valentines Day, but whateve) I'm chilling in my bed... ALONE. not that there's anything wrong with that and frankly i'd be a little concerned if there was a boy in my bed at 1:30 in the morning. unless it was john, he usually just lays on my floor though and listens to all my problems and offers no advice which most of the time i appreciate more than useless advice other people give me. He is such a good friend and I'm glad I'm his Valentine, in a friend way.I've realized that this is the first year of my whole life I've actually had more than one Valentine! How is that even possible? Talk about ugly duckling to beautiful swan... or however that weird story went...
Anyways today has been. Overall this week has been pretty stressful though. I got a little cold, but I'm fine now, bless modern medicine! Mostly it was our Alpha Phi Philanthropy that was stressing me out. I feel like we had such sad marketing efforts and our events were thus poorly attended. Last year was incomparable and I think it was much more of a success and I just wanted to help, but I wasn't sure how! And I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with Kaily and I was sad! She is so my favorite (and only) little and my best friend (besides Hannah lol) and she reminds me to be a good positive person.
So this semester has been mostly about having fun. I feel a little guilty for having so much fun and not doing a whole ton of work, but I've still been getting good grades! I just want to be everywhere and do everything! Okay that is pretty impossible, but whateves I'm tryingggg!K it's late, and I have spontaneously decided to go to bed. Night blog. xoxo

The Library

^ The roommates and I at Denny's @ 2AM for Alicia's Birthday
I love chris spies. He forced me to recognize that I haven't posted a blog in almost a month. Unfortunately I am not like my dedicated slightly crippled roommate Sharlene who updates her blog as frequently as she showers. This is mostly in part because I know no one really reads my blog and because I have a journal. Now that I am back at school, blessed school, I have my journal with me and I typically write in that.
Well anyways, enough blah blah, let's get down to the nitty gritty aka me updating you on my life.
This semester has been AMAZING. AMAZINGLY fun, difficult at times, and crazy. I'm getting along with ALL of my roommates, but maybe it's because I'm hardly ever home. I still spend most of my free time, or time that should be spent doing homework, at the Sigma Chi house. Recently I've realized that guys are just as dramatic as girls... well not dramatic, but they kinda cause there own weird parallel universe of bizarre drama. All of the sudden these boys pop out of the woodwork of my life! I was perfectly content and happy being single and BAM! boys come and complicate my life.
Oh, and now I'd like to offer an apology to Connor (people reading this you can either skip or continue reading, I don't care):
Connor, I am sorry that we have drifted apart and that I have become so incredibly busy. I know at this point I probably seem really similar to every other girl that you've ever liked, but let me explain. I'm a firm believer in time, not fate, but time. I believe there is a time and place for everything and if it's not your time or place why bother? Let me use our relationship as an example. I liked you, you liked me. But things are never as simple as that. The five hours distance helped separate us, so did all the things i do (alpha phi, church, school, the sigs, kaily etc..), so did the fact that you're going on a mission, so did the fact that I want to go on a mission. You see, I'm just a little too logical to let my emotions get in the way of my life plans. I apologize for thinking that you even care right now, and if I hurt your feelings at all, because that was not my intention.
Anyways... in other news. I AM GOING TO CALIFORNIA FOR SPRING BREAK! My dear friend Ryan lives there and I'm just gonna chill in Orange County for a couple of days with him. I'm really excited since I haven't been back there since I was two and I've always wanted to see the west coast AND i just want to spend spring break on a beach.
My classes are going well. I dropped nutrition due to complications with textbooks and a cd-rom. I hate CSIS, but continuing in my optimistic spirit at least I'm learning stuff! I LOVE my 2d design class, and my art history class, despite being at 8am is potentially my favorite. I LOVE ART HISTORY.
Oh, and because my gallbladder surgery apparently didn't work I can't eat fat anymore. I know I know it sounds kind of sucky, but really it's not! I can still eat my favorites (besides cookies, cake, etc...) like cereal and fruit and spaghetti O's and it kind of forces me to be healthy, which I only mind sometimes like when I really just want chocolate!
All in all I've been leading a pretty comfortable life. I love my sisters. I love and miss my family, especially Rileypants. I love my roommates, my house, the Sigma Chi house, church, my classes and just my life! There is so much to be grateful for and everyday I grow more and more grateful for the blessings, people and fun I have.
Oh... and this post was written in the library(hence the name)
PEACE OUT!
