Is this Love?

obbsessed with this song.
It's honesty in chords.
A combo of Jessica Lea Mayfield- a folk singer from Kent Ohio
and Seth Avett. Seth is part of a duo with his brother. There band is, no surprise here, the Avett Brothers. Hopefully I'll get to see both in July. "Murder in the City" is a great song by the bro ho's. Seriously, don't miss out!

"the boo"

I recently got over a case of the boo, more commonly refereed to as the flu. Since the word flu isn't nearly negative enough, boo has been found to be an excellent substitute. Not only is boo more scary, but it is an excellent word to show contempt and disapproval. Since the boo is also constantly "going around"... that makes it sound sleazy... here are a couple tips for surviving it.
1. stay in bed

2.have lots of dvds handy

3.ignore your phone

4. except to call your mother

5. if necessary, see a doctor

6. take LOTS of baths. even though you're still contaminated this will make you feel it a little bit less

7. have great roommates

8. drink lots of water

9. DO NOT drink diet soda, it has aspartame... which severely upsets an already upset empty stomach

10. it's okay to moan in pain

(the) sleazy

Definition of sleazy: 1. verb- to be promiscuous 2. noun-Salt Lake City, Utah 3. noun- poor. Of these three definitions I assure you I only intend to employ the use of two of them.
My journey of almost independence continues with my move for the summer up to the sleazy. I'm living with Alicia and Tyler and I must say they truly are fantastic roommates who cook, clean, have netflixs and a garabage disposal. There is nothing more one could ask for.
My internship at the salt lake art center while incredible and awesome has left me quite sleazy... I never knew how much a burden working for free was.
I start volunteering at an animal shelter next Wednesday and I'm beyond excited!!! I have weird dreams every night... last night it was that their was an earthquake, the night before that it was that Jim from the office was in love with me and left Pam.... they continue, but I'll stop.

The before of my room.

Nomadic

Today is Thursday. When was I supposed to be in Salt Lake? Yesterday. How did this happen? Sit back, relax and I will tell you. You might want to grab a tissue, things could get emotional as your sympathy for me sets in.
My little car, bless it's heart refuses to function properly and I have to take it to the mechanics more than I would like. My mechanic has ordered a wrong part for it TWICE, yes you are reading correctly, I said twice. Yesterday I was informed that they would get the right part in on Friday. That means that I have to stay in the mold infested ghetto phi house for two more days. This wouldn't be so bad either if everyone had just stayed calm yesterday. Due to a 3/4 majority of the roommates insisting on pushing me out of my own room I now dwell in Michelle's very empty room. I am sadly without my huge bed, which my roommates insisted on dismantling and moving upstairs. It is a good thing I am very adaptable and would have no problem as a nomadic dweller. I post the picture below in honor of my beloved people, the nomads. We may not have a lot, but we have camels.

Themes: not welcome here?

Lately I've been ignoring my academic duty to study completely and whole-heartily for my final exams. This absence of intellectual pursuit has resulted in my increased interest in criminal minds, chocolate and other people's blogs. In reading other people's personal thoughts I'd like to issue an utmost sincere apology to any and all of my readers. I sincerely apologize that my blog does not have a theme, that I blog irregularly, that I am vague and hardly ever blog about anything of personal deep interest. That being said, I can neither confirm nor deny that I will attempt to make my blogs more viable and controversial, more frequent or more about my private life. All in all.... maybe I will go study now.
A very quotable funny youtube video. If you plan on interacting with me, plan on watching this.

What Would you Do with a Drunken Sailor?

Well the past month has been sprinklings of happiness in a down poor of productivity and busy-ness!
First let me clear up the title of this post... In my 19th century Europe class we had to do a presentation on something from the time period. I choose to re-build the University of Berlin out of Graham crackers, raisins and hot glue. My classmate Court, chose to revive the classic song "What would you do with a drunken sailor?" This song has like 8 verses, all answering the question. This past month, I've had like 8 options of where I could take my life this summer and next year! Yes, I am identifying with a song from the 17th century in 2011.
With all these options I've made some deicisions... which will appear in list form belllooowww.
1. I am moving to SLC for the summer!
2. I have an internship with the Salt Lake Art Center
3. I'm working at Hollister part time
4. I'm living with Alicia and Tyler!!!!!
5. I'm leaving Ginge who is staying in Cedar
6. I dropped my graphic design major
7. I will never AS LONG AS I LIVE spray paint another countertop
8. I have the best friends and people in my life. I couldn't ask for anything else.
9. SO EXCITED FOR COSUMEL in October... this isn't really a decision. I just got excited.
